For years, I was asked by dozens of people ‘how can I become a technical writer?’ and I’d try and answer, until I gave up and wrote this book. This has become quite a popular book, and nobody was as surprised as me. It’s not fancy, it goes against a lot of conventional wisdom, and it doesn’t explain how to do technical writing–it explains how to start from zero and get a first technical writing job.
